1. In the first year (Part I) eight subjects will be studied and examined as follows:
Semester one:
An approved Economics unit (ECON1001 (without A Level) or ECON1003 (with A Level). an approved Quantitative Methods unit (ECON1005 or ECON1007)
Semester two:
approved Quantitative Methods unit (ECON1008, or ECON 1006 and ECON1008) ECON1002 , ECON1004
Both Semesters:
2/3 units from Social Sciences list (excluding MANG1007, ECON1012, ECON1009, STAT1003. Students may replace ECON1007 and ECON1008 with STAT1007, MATH1018 and STAT1005
2. Year 2
Semester one:
ECON2001, ECON2003
Semester two:
ECON2002, ECON2004
Both Semesters:
Either ECON2026 or ECON2006 and ECON2007. 2/3 units from ECON2*** or Social Sciences list (excluding MANG2008)
3. Year 3
Semester one:
ECON3008
Both semesters:
Either ECON3012 or ECON3013 and ECON3014. Plus either Contemporary Problems Paper (ECON3021) or Dissertation/project (ECON3023-double unit) and the remaining number of units from units numbered ECON3* (excluding ECON3007) or Social Sciences list.
4. Up to two of the optional units in Years 2 and 3 taken together may be drawn from the approved list of units other than ECON units.
